Simply Speak for Mac.

Version 0.2.8 for Apple Silicon, signed and notarized by Apple. Sign in to download it.

Checking your account…

After you download

  1. Install it.Open the disk image and drag Simply Speak into your Applications folder. Open it from there, not from the disk image window — macOS runs an app left on a disk image in a locked temporary copy, which looks normal but can never update itself.
  2. Open it once. macOS asks whether you are sure about an app downloaded from the internet. Click Open. It asks only the first time.
  3. Let it in. Simply Speak asks for Microphone, Accessibility, Input Monitoring, and Speech Recognition, each with one line saying why, then walks you through your first dictation.
